Track 2000 Grant Legacy Fund give grant support to RCT People First

Track 2000 Grant Legacy Fund is very pleased to announce grant funding to RCT People First of £32,460.30p towards staff and running costs.

RCT People First operates to support people with learning difficulties living or working in the Rhondda Cynon Taf and surrounding areas through services which enable them to obtain their full rights and privileges as citizens.
To advance the education of the general public about the educational, physical, emotional and
psychological needs of people with a learning difficulty.
To promote education of all people with learning difficulty through training, workshops and group work.
To empower people with learning disabilities to challenge prejudice and discrimination
by increasing awareness about the importance of equality & rights through training, education and
support by:-
* Delivering training to Student Nurses, Police Officers, Medical Staff and Doctors at the University of
South Wales and Cardiff
*Members sitting on the Training Research & Advisory Committee to be part of the design and delivery
of programs.
To provide opportunities to develop self advocacy skills and confidence by making sure that people have
a say in decision making processes Locally, Regionally & Nationally by:
providing support for members to sit on the Cwm Taff Health & Social Services Well Being Strategic
Learning Disability Committee and its work groups around Loneliness & Isolation, Reducing Stigma,
