Track 2000 Grant Legacy Fund is very pleased to announce grant funding of £29,000 for project and staff costs to Age Cymru Wast Glamorgan.

Age Cymru West Glamorgan has been supporting older people to maintain their independence and age well for over 40 years. They run a variety of support and community services within West Glamorgan and all their services are designed to ensure that later life for older people in our area is the best it can be.

Their inclusive and accessible activities include their Information and Advice service, which provides telephone support regarding important issues relevant to older people including Power of Attorney, financial advice and healthcare. Their Warm and Well service offers personalised, one-to-one support to people in the comfort of their own home on issues such as benefits and pensions checks, helping with fuel poverty and assistance in form completion to claim financial entitlements.

Age Cymru West Glamorgan’s day centre in Port Talbot offers local older people the opportunity to participate in a range of activities to improve connectedness and wellbeing. This community-based service helps some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable older people in Port Talbot to overcome personal challenges, such as poverty, isolation and poor mental health, through a supportive programme that facilitates positive lasting change.
